What is the Sunshine Blogger Award
The Sunshine Blogger Award is an award passed down from blogger to blogger as a way to show appreciation. The blogs that create inspirational content, and show great creativity, and positivity is selected by a previous nominee. It’s a pretty neat award system!
This helps newer blogs get discovered, grows your network, and can also help you make beautiful friendships with like-minded people. While you are encouraged to participate, you don’t have to. It’s okay if you decide not to, blogging is hard work and nominees definitely deserve the shoutout.
My Answered Questions
Do you make money off your blog? What purpose do you think your blog serves?
I do not make money off of my blog as of now, however, I am in the process of making a few passive incomes from my blog so I am able to make my passion of helping others through my blog into a career.
I am in the process of creating an Etsy shop to sell my original quotes, artwork, eBooks, and more. I will also be making videos for YouTube to connect to people and make a small revenue through YouTube to help keep my blog up and running for years to come.
The purpose of Maybe Crazy Help is to help others through life hardships through real-life experiences. To let others know they are not alone and that it is possible to overcome the emotions that we experience when life becomes rocky.
It is a personal belief that the hardships one experiences in life can be a guide to survival for another in the future who may be experiencing the same hardship you went through in the past.
Having the courage to stand up and say hey. I know it sucks right now and letting people in to see they are not alone is what Maybe Crazy Help is all about. As well as giving advice and tools on how to overcome certain hardships.
Scary movies, comedy, or action?
Out of the three given, I would have to go with a good ol’ scary movie. I don’t know, there’s just something exciting and relaxing when it comes to wrapping up in a warm blanket with your favorite beverage and snack while watching a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Favorite season and why?
My favorite season would have to be the Fall. The leaves changing colors make the landscapes look like beautiful portraits. It’s also perfect weather for cozy hoodies and walking in the park. Not to mention Halloween, which is beyond a shadow of a doubt my favorite holiday. Which has me even more excited now that my little one is more aware of what’s going on.
A life-changing moment that changed your direction in life.
My life-changing moment was giving birth to my son. We both almost died and it made a huge impact on how I thought and where I wanted to be in life. Having a child made me realize I needed to change my ways not just for myself but for the little eyes that were watching my every movement.
The little eyes that look to me for direction. I did not want to lead him down a dark path so I started working on myself. I am not perfect and I have a long way to go, but I will always continue to be better than I was the day before.
Children learn by example. I want my son to know to always move forward, even when it feels like the world is against him, and to always be true to himself.
Salty foods or sweet?
Honestly, it depends on my mood. Most of the time it would be sweets, though I prefer natural sweets like fruit.
Have you ever broken your parent’s hearts?
Unfortunately, I have broken my parent’s hearts many times by being selfish with self-harming when I was younger. All the broken promises to stop cutting were like a knife in their hearts and I try my best every day to show them I am a changed woman. Not the teen I once was.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a veterinarian for bigger animals when I was younger. However, the heartbreak of having to possibly put an animal to sleep is what turned me away from going down that path.
The death of an animal breaks my heart into a thousand pieces. I am more in tune with animals than I am with people. While human deaths do hurt me emotionally, for some reason, the death of an animal hurts more.
Are you someone who likes to try new things or stick to what you know?
I love trying new things and learning from them. I crave knowledge and often research things out of boredom and/or curiosity. Doing new things gives me the opportunity to expand my knowledge. Something I am grateful for, especially after losing the majority of my memory in 2014 for about 6-9 months.
How many states have you lived in?
I have lived in 3 states. Alabama, Georgia, and Indiana.
Do you like to drink tea or coffee?
I love both but I prefer tea, even though I probably drink coffee more ha-ha.
What’s your favorite book, blog, tv show, podcast, or youtube channel at the moment?
I thought it would be fun to do one of each 😊
My favorite book right now is The Castaway Kid. It is a story about a boy who grew up with a mom who had many mental health problems, had to live in a home, went through life being bullied and mistreated, etc.. I am halfway through the book and have cried many times at the things this little boy had to experience growing up.
My favorite blog right now is…. honestly, I have no clue. I read so many and have been inspired time and time again by so many amazing kindhearted bloggers it’s impossible to choose just one.
My favorite tv show right now is Once Upon a Time. I am a huge Disney fan and I love how they created a show with so many twists and turns. You never know what’s going to happen next!
My favorite podcast is Darren’s podcast from Problogger. He has amazing advice for new and old bloggers alike. I believe any blogger can benefit from his posts, podcasts, videos, etc.
My favorite Youtube channel is Shonetta’s Divine Tarot. Her energy and positivity is amazing, as well as her tarot readings. They are shockingly spot on every time. Honestly, I was skeptical at first when a friend told me to watch her channel, but now I watch every new video she posts.
