Whoohooo. Hi there! I am so excited to share with you guys that Motivational Coping and Healing has been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award once more! This time we were nominated by the beautiful blogger Eilidh Horder! I want to give a special thanks to Eilidh for this nomination and to congratulate her blog for being nominated as well. Once you’re done reading this post definitely head over and read some of her beautifully written content!
What is the Blogger Recognition Award?
The blogger recognition award is an award given by bloggers to bloggers. It is a way to recognize each other’s hard work and efforts. If you would like to know more about the blogger recognition award you can read MCH’s first nomination. It gives a little more in-depth definition.
How Maybe Crazy Help Started
Maybe Crazy Help (Now Motivational Coping and Healing) started in November 2018, after learning a childhood friend had committed suicide. Then within 2-3 weeks later, a mom-like figure overdosed on heroin and passed away. Angry, hurt, and wanting to help people in some way cope with the darker parts of the mind, I decided I wanted to blog about my own personal experiences and the ways that helped me cope with certain areas in life.
My hope with the blog is/was to help others who may experience similar hardships learn new ways of coping, understand they are not alone, and that it’s okay to speak up. As well as helping those who do not understand people with mental health-related problems gain a deeper understanding and providing ways they can help a loved one who experiences mental health-related issues. Mental health is important, whether one has an illness or not. Maybe Crazy Help was created to speak up for those who feel lost and to bring hope when everything feels parlous.
Two Pieces of Advice for New Bloggers
- Don’t be afraid to stand out and be different. One of the best things you can do for your blog is to let your uniqueness shine through your writings. Let your blog display your own personality. This helps you find like-minded people who are going to love your writings and who keep coming back, as well as give your blog its own voice.
- Go for it and learn as you go along. I know this may sound counterproductive, but if you keep researching and watching tutorials on how to do XYZ, then you can get sucked into a cycle of learning and researching and not doing. The best experience comes through doing. If you mess up along the way, that’s okay! You learned and you’ll have more experience. Furthermore, you’ll gain the opportunity to help others avoid the mistakes you made if you choose to help new bloggers in the future.
