Mental Healing-Talking About Mental Health

Mental Healing

For day 27 of the blogging challenge, I wanted to share two very cute and insightful videos on talking about mental health. The kids in both videos are so mature and understanding of the emotions they experience. Mental healing is possible, speaking up helps the process.

We all have emotions, and feelings, good days, and bad. Learning how to cope through the rough days is one of the most important things we can learn. Talking about mental health can be uncomfortable at times, but if we need help there is no shame in talking about mental health.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Honestly, in my opinion, it is more important. When we are overcome by stress, depression, anxiety, mood swings, and more it can be difficult to perform at our best.

Mental health-related problems can often cause physical health issues as well. By learning more about the mind we expand our knowledge by becoming more aware of how to adapt to life’s hardships that can take a toll on the mind.

As a parent, I often worry about my little one and the upcoming rough days he will face. However, by listening to videos like the two on this post and reading about mental health in children, the symptoms, and more I am better prepared to help him tackle the days he feels overwhelmed, frustrated, depressed, etc.

We all have mental health we must take care of. We may face different battles, ups, and downs, and handle things differently, however, we all still feel emotions. Some may have a better grasp, while others may seem lost and frantic. That’s why it is important to be there for one another.

It is okay to talk about mental health. Talking about it gives us the opportunity to learn from others who may have experienced similar emotions and situations. Which can lead to new skills of coping, understanding, and learning how to navigate through the bad days.

As much as it pains me to say it, we will always have bad days where things don’t go as planned, heartbreak happens, people who do you wrong, etc… Learning how to sail through the eye of a storm is very beneficial.

Even if your boat becomes rocky at times, you will be able to get through the storm. A lot of the time stronger and wiser than before. You are the captain of your life, sometimes you just need to learn the skills and not be afraid to let the boat rock.

You are so much stronger than you believe, keep holding on. Keep speaking out. Keep shining your light for others to see. And if you feel like you can’t go through the eye of the storm on your own MCH will always be a lighthouse to help guide you, as well as many other websites, people, and places. Best of wishes on your mental healing journey.

Sending love and positivity to all who read this <3 Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this post <3
