This is a short letter on what affiliate marketing is, so you know what is going on when you click certain links on the posts on this website.
What Affiliate Marketing is
According to Investopedia, affiliate marketing “is an advertising model in which a company compensates third-party publishers to generate traffic or leads to the company’s products and services. The third-party publishers are affiliates, and the commission fee incentivizes them to find ways to promote the company.”
In my own experience, affiliate marketing is a way to generate money for websites by redirecting people to useful products. With affiliate marketing, I can keep this website up and running for people who are seeking advice on the topics I’ve written on.
What I do
As an affiliate marketer, I help people find products in relation to the website, that are hopefully beneficial to them in some way. I do my best to provide links that are trustworthy and scam free. Many of the products I refer to are products I, myself, use or have used that have helped me along my own journey in life.
The links are referrals. I am paid a small portion from the company when someone clicks on a link and buys a product from the company. The company then pays me for helping their product get out into the world. It does not cost anything to the person who clicked on the link.
I mainly use Amazon links, which is a trusted website.
I hope this post has been helpful in understanding what affiliate marketing is and how it works. If you do decide to buy a product with one of the links provided I want to say thank you for helping keep this website up and going.
If you are with a company that has a product that is beneficial to the mental health community and you would like me to test and promote your product please email me at [email protected] subject line Product Review.
Much love and gratitude,
